Doll’s Diary is a hard rock band from Rivne, Ukraine. Their debut album “Hard & Loud” was be released on June 2nd via Rockshots Records.
“Hard & Loud” is a combination of classic hard rock, nostalgic melodies, orchestral elements. The bands style reminds me a bit of Free Spirit (Finland) !!
Doll’s Diary gives us a dramatic hard rock album which starts with the opening track hard and loud !
“Hard Loud” gives us with a glimpse of what is yet to come. A pure hard rock album played with loud guitars that scream to you to listen to the songs at the highest volume.
“Stranger” is a warm song that will remind you of the 80’s ! The track offers many harmonies and awesome guitars.
“Can You Live Without Rock” is filled with lots of adrenaline. The track features Pavlo Horechko’s voice reaching the high notes in perfect combination with the rest.
“I’m Gonna Be Cool” is a classic hard rock track (nothing more , nothing less)
“Whenever I Dream of You” is a nice ballad. The great piano intro at the beginning of the track clearly becomes apparent.
The ballad is just a short interlude as the album quickly picks up the pace with another hard rock track,
“Paradise” a song with awesome guitars and a good rhythm section !
“Time” is an sollid rock song and when listening to it I cannot help myself singing along with it !!!
“Blondie” is a very intense and powerful track ! I like this !!
“It’s Time to Say Goodbye” starts out as a ballad but it continues to pick up speed as it goes on. Again with awesome guitars and a brilliant rhythm section.
The acoustic version of “Stranger” completes this album.
Doll’s Diary is a very good rock band and with their debut album “Hard & Loud” the band will sure make an good impression on the scene !
A sure buy for fans of solid melodic hard rock , the fact that the band is from Ukraine is no reason to give these guys a chance !
Infact I’d say they are even better than many european bands !!
